Ethos

ETHOS

At the heart of Dear Dylan, comfort is key. Our collections are designed to be the foundation of your daily wardrobe, a refined edit of ready-to-wear timeless staples for your every day. Considered design, quality fabrications, premium craftsmanship. Wear. sleep. Swim.

FABRICATIONS

Founded on the principle that quality is foremost, our garments are thoughtfully designed to last. Our fabric compositions are carefully selected based on the properties and characteristics of each fibre, with a focus on impeccable craftsmanship and detailing. Our garments are made from ethically sourced fabrications including custom milled organic cotton (GOTS certified), cotton poplin, silk and recycled nylon (GRS certified), selected for their durability and longevity. Our garments are designed to wear and wash well.

Our lingerie and swimwear styles contain a small percentage of elastane (including trims) to ensure the wearability of these garments. Elastane is a man made fibre commonly used in intimate apparel and swimwear. Elastane is known for its stretch properties and is a key component to ensure these garments hold and retain their shape.

To get the most wear from your garments and help extend their longevity, we suggest always following washing instructions.

SUSTAINABILITY

At Dear Dylan we are always working to improve our processes to ensure we are thinking about our impact, socially and environmentally. As we grow as a business we aim to take steps to continuously do better, ensuring we implement practices from design through to dispatch, that are as sustainable as possible. We have put into effect a number of systems to make sure we are moving in the right direction including building strong relationships throughout the production chain, certified fabrications and low impact packaging.

Dear Dylan is built around the ethos that clothing should be timeless and made to last, our focus is on non-seasonal styles, premium fabrications and quality construction. We make conscious decisions about the types of fabrics we use for our garments, with natural fibres (where applicable) taking precedence in the design process.

We use 100% sustainable packaging, local orders are dispatched in paper or compostable satchels, sourced from R3pack. Our garments are delivered to us from our factory in compostable bags made from corn starch. Our tissue paper, used for wrapping orders is sourced from no issue. We have decided not to include unnecessary paper printing with orders, such as packing slips or return forms, these are digital.

We work closely with our suppliers and value the relationship we have built with our factory who is BSCI certified. We are committed to growth and are always working towards actioning further changes that are beneficial to our footprint as a business.
